Have you ever wondered what it would take to launch a new branch of science based on human morality? How would we build a Science of Morality? What questions would we have to ask and answer? What topics would we have to discuss? What principles would we have to follow? What evidence would we collect and assess? Where would we start? How about right here and right now. Please join me as we attempt to build a foundation for a proper Science of Morality. My name is Paul Schilling and I'm writing a book about how humanity can build a Science of Morality. On the first Saturday of each month from 2pm to 6pm we will meet in a round-table format to discuss and formulate exactly what will be needed to launch a Science of Morality. In these discussions we will tackle the topics of: the Scientific Method, subjective morality, objective morality, ethics, evidence, probability, Free Will, determinism, solipsism, epistemology, metaphysics, the Hard Sciences, human rights, deductive reasoning, inductive reasoning, the nature of truth, critical thinking, and the basic structure and process for how humanity can implement a Science of Morality. As we progress we will assess evidence that demonstrates our human rights and moral conclusions. Your input, feedback, and protests will help to craft my book into a more complete treatise of a scientifically based moral system. A moral system that utilizes the Scientific Method to come to sound and valid moral conclusions. As we develop the process and methodology, we will actually learn some of those conclusions. How exciting! This event is open to the public and all people from all walks of life are encouraged to participate. So don't let your current beliefs stop you from joining in. Bring your open mind and questions.
